About Me
- Name: Jamila
I live in beautiful St. Croix with my husband Bob. We moved here from NJ in 2005. As an art quilter, I use a combination of traditional and contemporary quilting techniques to create original art quilts inspired by the wonders of the living sea and the joy I feel at living on this great island. I was born in Colombia and my father was Palestinian. Bob was born in Canada and his father is Greek. Our families are spread out across the globe and if we were to put them all in one place, we'd hear conversations in English, Spanish, Arabic and Greek. As far as I know, I'm the only quilter in our family. For a look at my art quilts, please visit my website: www.calypsoartquilts.com.
