Eastern Deserts and Western Forests

On the way to Point Udall, a roadside cactus shows the desert-like landscape of the east end of the island.  The west end gets the bulk of the rain, creating a lush tropical rain forest landscape across the hills above Davis Bay and the Carambola Beach Resort.
